Miss S. came by for her session yesterday, and she just brought the magic. She is due any day now for her little boy, and it was so exciting to be part of this special time in her life. I could have photographed her for days!
It's been a minute since I did a maternity shoot, and the last one was to film a home birth that ended up arriving on MY birthday! Back when I started my portrait career I did quite a few of them, and was even published as a contributor in a book for photographers "Pregnancy Photography" by Jennifer George. I worked for her for many years, and went on shoots even as far away as Monaco with her. I learned a lot, and I owe her a huge debt of gratitude. We became great friends, and sadly, last year Jennifer lost her battle with breast cancer, which is a huge loss to her family, and those who were close to her, and she will always be in my heart, and every shoot that I do.
